hi. I am not more computer savvy. During the start of this year, i build my own PC-AMD and it was working fine till yesterday.

While one video was playing in MPC player, all of a sudden the system got struck and hang. when i tried to restart using restart button on CPU, it didn't work. Then i turned the power off and started to boot again.

what i got from that moment is blank screen in my monitor and no response. my pc configuration is
- Asus M5A97EVO-R2.0 32GB DDR3 AMD Motherboard
- AMD FX 8320
- CORSAIR CMPSU-700GS 700 Watts PSU
- MSI Radeon R7 260X 2GB DDR5 ATI PCI
- G.skill Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz RAM
- Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA HDD

I have tried these things:
- checked the monitor with laptop display and it works fine
- Checked the power cable of PSU
- checked the 8 PIN power connector to Motherboard.
- Checked the RAMs using DRAM switch on motherboard and it blinks fine.
- checked the hardisk condition and its working good.

The issue now is:
- The CPU red light is continuously lit near processor.
- No power to the keyboard
- Blank screen in monitor
- No beep sound or nothing from the motherboard but all fans are rotating and lights are lit.

Please help to solve the issue and help me to find out the problem.

Thanks in advance and much gratitude.

The red LED indicates a CPU or socket issue. Can you try reseating the CPU? Be careful, though.
Your best option may be bringing it into a local PC store to diagnose the issue, as you aren't tech savvy.
Best of luck. :)

i tried reseating the CPU too and it also didn't help. the doubt which i am getting is may be the mobo gone dead. I checked the power sockets of Smps and its fine. In case, if the GPU is not functioning, then i should get power from mobo to keyboard and mouse, but there is no power output to keyboard and mouse. so may be its motherboard problem. anyways i will try with some other SMPS (in the hope of the 8 pin ATX power connector problem) and will try to find out a solution. any other solution is most welcome.
