My computer: Dell Inspiron N7010
OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

So this happens randomly while I'm working. The screen just freezes and weird black or multicolored squares appear, after a while the entire screen sub divides into a normal display and into colorful squares, the computer still doesn't repsond. A while after that the monitor just shuts off. See the below images for a better description.

Usually when I restart it returns to normal only to happen again. But now it just glitches out at the dell logo and the screen shuts down. (No image for this one). If it does successfully start up, windows reports that it was a Blue Screen of death. What is causing the problem and how can it be fixed? Does it have to do with the computer's graphics card or drivers?

Can't really try it on another PC or try another one on this one as it is a laptop.
I tried another monitor, no signal. (After it goes black)

Old post, but I'm having the exact same problem here. I recommend fixing up a new GPU, I, stupidly, bought my GPU second hand, so this happens to me. This problem doesn't happen all the time, it strikes randomly. I tried my friend's GPU which is the same as mine, and had no problems with it. (GTX 750 Ti) I recommend using memtest to have a look at your RAM as I hear that may be the problem if its not you gpu. It some rare cases it could be the PSU, but seeing you don't overclock it should be fine.
