Windows Server, first time help

Hi

Im setting up a windows server 2012 for my office, 3 computers

I have an internal and external network, all pc's have 2 network cards
Can I run a windows server 2012 on the internal network with all pc's connecting to it?
and
Can i use desktop hardware to build the pc?

I was thinking:
intel i5 4440
Corsair XMS 1600Mhz 2x4Gb RAM
MSI H81I Intel H81 MOTHERBOARD
120 GB Corsair SSD
2TB HDD

You will have problems finding server OS hardware drivers for most desktop class motherboards. Server 2008 had a bit more support, but Server 2012 is rough. It is really best to just buy a server board. They don't have to be overly expensive... Past that you will be fine. Also consider a Xeon over the i5.
