There shouldn't be much if a problem and most cases should be able to fit that. What's you PSU is the important question?

Yes because a stronger card means more power needed to be provide to make it suffice.

Thanks for the reply's bud and my case is a CIT Vantage midi I just asked if it would fit as I have my current graphics card in the very top slot on the back of my case and that one looks like its 2 slots high and I'm guessing my psu won't power that graphics card also I've been playing rome total war 2 latley and sometimes when I'm in battle mostly the bigger battles like more men etc I get a blue screen saying memory dump and my pc restarts lol ?
Thanks

Hey iArranx, if you want to get that GPU, I am afraid you will need a stronger PSU to run it. The GPU itself should fit there and run smoothly.

For the blue screen and memory error, there could be 2 things what make that problem happen (Had the same problem while playing World of Tanks)
It could be your OS (Some error occupied and you get the blue screen in the middle of the game, saying not enough memory or whatever). Makes your PC restart and works fine after the restart and while not playing the game.
The solution to that is re-installing your OS.

The second thing what could make that happening is your RAM getting too much usage. Since it's 8GB, it shouldn't be a problem, but still...
If you run any background programs, try turning all unnecessary programs off and then try playing your game.
I recommend installing a program called ''Glary Utilities'' and when you install it, go and see the Startup Manager and uncheck all programs you don't need/use what start running when you turn on your Windows.

Hope I helped, first try doing the thing with the programs and then try re-installing your OS if that doesn't helps.
Regards.

Sorry for the late respond.
You won't be able to switch to a DDR3 memory on that motherboard what uses DDR2.
It will cost you to buy a new CPU and MBO as well if you want to go for a DDR3 RAM memory.
(That's not really needed yet, still stick with your current config as it's still good enough) ;)
The Q6600 will still do it's job well, if you get a better CPU cooler, you can OC it easily. It's a really good CPU.

After you re-install your OS, please reply with the results (Saying how is it after the re-installation, still the same or works normally after it)
