Questions:
How well does my build suit my constraints? What would you change to make it better suit them? (am willing to ditch entire proposed build if you've got a build which can meet them better)
Does everything work together?
Am I missing something? (power cables? fans?)
Can I uninstall my os from my old comp and install it on my new one?
I have no idea about fans, I know I want positive air pressure to reduce the dust levels. That's it. Some advice is sorely appreciated.

Constraints:
I want to run star citizen at 1080p 120hz ultra-high settings. The problem being that no-one knows how demanding that will actually be. The closest approximation would be crysis 3 max settings, so just need a solid build which could probably do that when O/C'd.
Even if I don't need the WNIC anymore I want that pci-e x1 slot accessible
$2000AUD budget. Pre-owned parts do not count towards budget. Shipping to/Pick up from Osborne park, Western Australia included in part cost.
I want to sli/crossfire, if not now then have the capability to do so in the future.

Additional Info:
My first build, I screwed my old computer together but my uncle did the buying.
I would like to canabalise parts from my old computer to maximise budget for cool stuff.
I bought 2 sticks of RAM a while ago, turns out they don't fit in my MB much to my frustration. Hence the need for a new MB, and heck, might as well get a new PC while I'm at it, skip forward and I'm staring at my savings account where a big hole is about to be.
If those constraints aren't meetable I will wait until they are; no new computer for me.

Gigabyte, but they look like the reference version of the 290.

Why don't you get this monitor?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236174
It's as good as the BenQ and is a lot cheaper. ;)

can you link me to the 290's please?

Just press the price next to where it says 2x R9 290. ;)
https://www.i-love-pc.com/computer-parts/gigabyte-4g-r9-290-in-stock/

To you :) Because the reference cooler has noise issues and temp issues, so it's better to get a aftermarket cooler, like the tri x, vapour x, toxic from sapphire, or DCII from asus, or the windforce from gigabyte, otherwise, you will run into heat issues, especially in crossfire

No, you can't, it's tied to the motherboard and complicated issues can arise if you do use it
It does, so no need for thermal paste, but please, get a different model of 290

I think you can't reuse the OS.
The 212 EVO comes with Thermal Paste.
But it's recommended that you use some aftermarket Thermal Paste, like that Arctic Silver 5 you mentioned.
All the best. ;)
