No, it's evil. Ballistix, Devastator - seriously, it's like a decepticon on your desk.

It'll run games quite well though.

You could get a lower-wattage power supply, 750W is unnecessary. You could either spend the money on getting higher quality, or on upgrading other parts of the system.

I'm not sure if I'm just missing it, but I can't see a motherboard in that build?

The first mistake is the CX series PSU. It is not good at all it is poor quality material and may burn the PC. Get from Antec, EVGA, SeaSonic, Thermaltake or XFX. These are excellent manufacturers for PSU.

Instead of a WD, I recommend a Seagate Barracuda for a few dollars extra. It's worth it mate.

Get a Corsair or G.Skill RAM, however a Crucial is still good.

The rest seems good.

Corsair CX isn't great, but you're exaggerating here. No, it will not "burn your PC". In fact it's much more likely to "burn your PC" if you just get a random PSU from Thermaltake, because they have a mix of PSUs ranging from very good to really bad.

Yes it is. But maybe bit for the future when upgrading, e.g. Crossfire or SLI.

You shouldn't put an 8 core processor in that motherboard.

I agree. It would probably be better to get an FX-6300 and a better motherboard, if you can't afford a better motherboard with the FX-8320.

Yes, it is good but maybe get an ssd for faster load times and lest lag if you are gaming

With no offense to Joe I unselected the best answer if we are still talking parts.

How much of your budget does the above build use? I wouldn't put any FX CPU on the 760 board. You really want more then a 760 board to run your 125W CPU. You said peripherals but I don't see any. Just the keyboard/mouse or do you need the monitor and windows as well?

With A GTX770, would I see a decrease in perfomance If I use a FX6300? aka bottlenecking.

The monitor is there, I am getting windows for free. Do you think you could whip me up a build for around 950? (no more then 1000).

I saw monitor in there after I wrote my post. Didn't see keyboard/mouse. Which I see now that I look. I ran the math, you are at $965 now. Ouch. Is there a reason you are using Amazon? Newegg has combos which might help out. Off the top of my head I think you need to drop down to the Nvidia 760, get a smaller/cheaper PSU, go to 2x4GB for ram, and spend the rest on the motherboard.

I am using amazon because I live in Australia. I have managed to make a much cheaper PC, I changed the GPU to a Gigabyte R9 280X. It was the cheapest version and had very nice reviews. It was about 260 dollars. I also changed my CPU to a FX6300, because it was 30 dollars cheaper and would still serve the purpose I needed it to (gaming). Also I went for a single 8GB stick because my mobo only has 2 slots, so that I could get another 8GB. Do you have a recommendation on a good mobo. (no more then about 70) that has more then 2 ram slots, and can support cross firing?

Is that your budget in AUD, or USD?

It would be AUD. PCpricepicker has an AU site. Check there. You want an 8xx or 9xx board, 9xx if you can. 7xx is just to old. Wasn't designed for the power needs of the FX CPUs.

The budget can be in USD, as that is what mine currently is in. Make sure to include everything (so the peripherals as well) but not the OS as I am getting it for free.
