Display goes off my new screen Win8

I have a GTX 660 with up to date drivers and a brand new TV but the display goes off the screen on the max resolution(1080p Screens resolution).

I'm guessing point to point refers to matching each individual point on the monitor to the settings Windows requires instead of digitally stretching it to meet the required resolution. It seems as though that it was the best solution although I will say I'm not familiar with that terminology. Whatever works, works I suppose.
