Occasional BSOD strikes again !

Hi,

I occasionally have a BSOD from time to time, and today, it occurs again. I'm not to sure how to collect info about it, so pls explain clearly how to fix the problem. I suspect it's a windows update error, or a Kernal Power thingy.

From event viewer, I have 5 errors from system, 1 from Crysis , and 2 from Microsoft. The most recurring error would be " Session "Circular Kernel Context Logger" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188 "

I have A LOT of failed windows Updates too.

Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks

( also, my PC doesn't shutdown. Once it does, it starts up by itself again. I have asked every forum. No solution )

Hello... each Windows version/disc is different " Win7′s no-reformat, nondestructive reinstall " ... it seems that you have to do a Upgrade install from within Windows, by running the setup file from your Disk. there are many example on youtube for you to view.
http://windowssecrets.com/top-story/win7s-no-reformat-nondestructive-reinstall/ Here is a one page walk though it.

Hello... As I have always stated... " If it isn't broken Don't try and fix it! " Updates can take a smooth running machine into a Mess of problems. For example... only use the Hardware drivers from your Card/Hardware Maker, Microsoft hardware drivers updates have always cause problems with me.

Hello... Can you Google how to start your windows in safe mode? and determine or disable what hardware driver is confused in your "Control Panel-Device Manager"
Un-plug any thing you have added new or don't need to make this work... extra HD's USB devices, Video cards.... etc.

I don't quite understand what you mean. After entering Safe Mode and opening device manager, how should I carry on ?

The current situation if quite normal, other than the PC not shutting down properly. This BSOD is very rare, same goes for the freeze.

When I select shutdown, everything shutsdown normally, but after 2-3 secs, the PC turns on by itself. I currently turn off the PSU after shutting down to solve it, but this problem also doesn't to put my PC to sleep mode.

Specs:
i5-3350p
8GB RAM
R9 270x ( R9 280 is now same price of the R9 270x when I bought it /)_- )
Windows 7 64 bit OEM

Errors:

Critical
- Kernal Power
- Event ID 41
- The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Error:
- Kernal-Event Tracing
- Event ID 3
- Session "Microsoft Security Client OOBE" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D

- WMI
- Event ID 10
- Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

These are the few errors that I think are the ones causing major issues. I have done a full , clean install of Windows 7 3 times, even clearing HDD. And still, the problem persists. I suspect it's something with the drivers I have installed. I don't download torrents online, and I did a Malwarebytes scan, so I don't think Malware is the problem.

I've also reset the CMOS once, not sure if that causes big issues.

-___- I'm back to square one again. The freeze is back. Last thing I did was to run 3Dmark. It had an error, so I validated the integrity of local files from steam, and after that , BOOM. The PC shuts itself down, and when I boot again, boot times take longer than usual, and the freezes occurs again.

I'm starting to understand why people prefer apple's iOS. I guess I'll live with my corrupted Windows 7 until Windows 9 comes out. Hopefully, it'd be better.

So how did you go with -
Boot into Safe Mode (F8) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/advanced-sta...
and try Computer Repair and/or System Restore (Last known good configuration)
and
Do a checkdisk with repair.
Do a virus scan eg avast and malwarebytes
