I have a surround sound setup on my pc that i use for movies and music. I also do a lot of gaming; primarily battlefield, titanfall, and neverwinter. I can use the surround sound system when playing by myself, but i have a large group of friends i like to play with and so i have to use my headset when not playing solo so i can hear everyone talking and so i have a mic to use. I would like to use my surround sound setup for gaming even when playing with people. My question is: is it possible to have my friends voice come through the speakers? Also is there a mic solution i could use that wouldn't echo or pick up game sound?

Yes you can set up your headset for talking with your friends and have game audio come out of the speakers. The trick here is how you are talking to your friends.

The first thing you will need to do is make sure you have the audio drivers/software installed on your PC, more than likely it is going to be realtek.

There are several how to guides you can find on google, it's probably best for you to look them up instead of me retyping what some one already has. But essentially you go into realtek and tell it to have separate outputs for your audio ports and then go into the program you are using for voice chat and tell it which channel to output to (you will need to look up how to do that on a per program basis)
