Hi,

So, I have this HUAWEI E180 3G USB modem, and it totaly sucks. I live in Stockholm city and the max Mbps I have ever gotten with it has been 3Mbps...
I also have this friggin powerful ZTE MF28D, a 3G/4G modem-router-wifi deluxe :p

The ZTE MF28D is carrier locked, but I have flashed the HUAWEI E180, so its not locked.

Is it possible in ANY WAY AT ALL, to somehow connect the HUAWEI to the ZTE, like, so it only uses the ZTE signal features...? Just some weird imba hack way to link them up so I can get improved reception..? Please, think xD

Likely the reason the ZTE is faster is it is completely different technology. The Huawei only supports HSPDA which is rated at 7m so if you got 3m you were doing pretty good. The ZTE device is LTE, depending on the carrier it can go 50m or maybe even faster.

So it is not so much a unlocking issue it is technology issue. Even if you have LTE available to you with the carrier that you are using with the Huawei device it very well could be on a different frequency. So even if you somehow unlock the ZTE it may still have radios that only operate on that vendors LTE.

What?
I have 2 simcards, and 2 modems. HUAWEI is a contract-based internet, and my simcard for ZTE is cash in stores u know, credit..

The reason I wanna unlock the ZTE, is so I can use my contract-simcard in that modem. I am fully aware that I wont be able to get 4G connection, as the simcard is just a 3G card, but I do know that 3G connections should go up far higher than 3Mbps. And that I will with the ZTE, cuz the signal reciever or something is waaay better than the shitty HUAWEI. Even my iphone gets better 3G signal than HUAWEI. I tryed to unlock it aswell, I did a jailbreak with Pangu, but then I cant find a carrier unlock software that works with iOS 7.1.2... Fking sucks
