Where is the best location to download GPU drivers from?

I have an ASUS GeForce GTX 660 Video Card and currently I have the NVidia GeForce Experience application installed that will automatically install the newest driver for my GPU. However when I go to the ASUS website and find my card it lists an older driver under the downloads section.

GeForce driver version = 340.52
ASUS website driver version = 327.23

So which is better and should I stick with what ASUS is providing or just go with the NVidia application? The reason I ask is because I am having game crashing issues that are driving me nuts and thought perhaps this could be the issue or at least part of the issue.

Specs are:
CPU: Intel i5-3570K (Not overclocked)
GPU: Asus GTX 660
PSU: Ultra LSP 650 Pro
MOBO: GigaByte GA-Z77-DS3H
RAM: ADATA 8GB DDR3 (2x4GB)
Storage: Intel SSD 300 Series 240GB, 1TB Seagate 7200rpm

I believe there all the same and with NVidia you get all the release note info that may be of importance and some times the manufactures site may be behind on the latest -- it all comes down to personal preference on what you feel is best -- if you want to get them from xyz and not NVidia that's your call as far as the cards driver now there may be some add on software you may want from your brand to get just from them
Hello... you can un-install the the " Experience program App" by going to the Programs and Features App in your Control Panel. And you can stop it from looking for Updates.
If my driver runs good i never update it... "IF it ain't broken Don't try and Fix it!
I trust nvidia site always... but i don't trust all UPDATES.
You can save and download Old nvidia drivers from their site too.
