Use integrated graphics on i5 4690K and wait for the gtx 880?

hey guys im getting my new build this week
but im really caught up in a dilemma whether or not to wait ofr the gtx 880
ive delayed my build for a long time and i cannot wait any longer
so i atleast need my basic build even if it be without a gpu for the time being
here is my build:
i5 4690K
Nvidia GTX 780(or wait for the 880)
MSI Z97 Gaming5 MoBo
Seasonic S12 ii 850W PSU
BenQ XL 2411t
Corsair Vengeance 8GB

is hte gtx 880 worth the wait?
or should i just get the 780 now(rumors also say that the 880 is going to be the same price as the current 780)
but the rumors about the GTX 880 seem very strong now
or should i delay my build completely?(doesnt make sense to delay the entire build because i dont see anything new coming either the CPU department and my MoBo is latest anyways....what do you say about this?)
please help

It all depends on how badly you want it. If you want it really badly then go ahead and get it. It'll still last you quite a while. If you don't have a huge urge to go for it right now, then feel free to wait around for the gtx 880. The gtx 780 is still a good card and overkill for 1080p gaming. 1440p gaming will run very well on it as of now.

The way I see it:

If you keep waiting for something better to come out, then you'll never get anything done. When the new things from nVidia come out, AMD will then respond. If you're a person who's open to AMD options, then you'll probably be waiting to see the response and how they work out.

I mean, ordering the system without the graphics card can work, you'll be limited on the graphics settings that you can play on. Hell, if you want to get a cheap dedicated gpu as a place holder for now, then you could do that.

Rumors are rumors anyways. My preference is to just take them lightly. Unless an official statement is released, they're just words.

yes i want it pretty bad
so ive made up my mind to wait for the 880
but should i get the rest of my build now?
i dont see any upcoming improvements in either the cpu or the mobo department(im getting a z97 mobo
i also dont see any significant price drops in these remaining components
so i might as well get them now
and run integrated graphics
and is 780 really overkill for 1080?
i dont think its overkill for a 144hz monitor

It's not overkill, do some research. There are PLENTY of games that won't be maxed out by a GTX780.
- Crysis 3
- Far Cry 3
- Metro 2033/LL
- AC4
- Skyrim (with demanding mods)

That's today, and of course newer games like WITCHER 3 will continue to be graphically demanding.
