I have a alienware laptop and the screen is broken so i plug it in to the tv and when i start the computer the screen says "no signal". So i waited for the screen to load for 1 hour pressed enter sometimes and Nothing happened. There is no problem with the hdmi cable

try pulling the hdmi cable just a little bit, no more than a millimeter. I've also had hdmi issues and notice if you pull it a tad then it gets a signal.

What kind of Alienware? I just got an Alineware 18 and when I connect to TV I need to hit Function F5 (which disables SLI graphics) . Once I hit that key combination the machince restarts and displays on the TV. The same may be required from you if you have SLI graphics.
