pc restarts for no reason

my mother's pc does something that i can't realy guess what's causing it ... when you start up windows xp you just have your ordinary start up and you get to the desktop though after a couple of minuetes you get a restart without warning just like you pressed the restart button on the actual pc does anyone have any idea of what's going on ? thenks :)

try cleaning your ram by rubbing a rubber against its gold plates gently
and try cleaning you pc a lot of dust can also cause this
if problem persists it amy be due to the temperature
