So the computer was working fine with no problem for over a year, I decided to clean the Cooler Radiator cause it was pretty dusty. I finish cleaning the computer and then I try turning it on and the problem started. When I first turned it on, it turned on and shut off but the reset light was still on, I turned off the computer from the back and then switch it back on and turned it on and same thing happened, it quickly turned off in a split second.

Specs:

MOBO: MSI 990FX-GD65
CPU: AMD FX 4100
GPU: GTX 560
RAM: Corsair 8GBs 1600MHz
HDD: 1TB Seagate
HDD: 500GB Hitachi
PSU: 1000W Ultra
CPU: Cooler: Corsair H80
Case: Antec Lanboy

Troubleshooting:

I tried the PSU on another computer and it turned on.
I did the MOBO Battery thing and the jumper one also, nothing.
I disconnected all the fans, same thing....
I try turning the computer on with no GPU and only 1 RAM Stick, no luck.

NOTE: When I turn on the computer and it quickly turns off, I have to unplug the power cable from the PSU and plug it back in for it to turn on cause it would just do nothing when pressing the power button.

Well first you should clean your cooler radiator every 3-6 months but that is irrelevant. Second have you checked you mobo for a broken capacitor? That could cause your PC to no get enough power.

I normaly clean the radiator every 3-4 month with a brush but the dust was a bit deep in the radiator so I blu the dust with compressed air.

Yes, I check the MOBO and everything looks ok. I was using the computer 3 days before cleaning it and everything was just fine, I cleaned it and then it decided to just turn off.... I also notice that the PSU had some acid on the fan and when I opened it one of the battery was a bit bumped but the PSU still works.

Could it be the PSU? I don't know cause it did work on another computer and I tried turning on the PC with everything disconnected and only have it connected with the 6 PIN(CPU) and 24PIN(MOBO) and still did the same.

Does it turn off after like 10 sec after starting it???
if so then their is a problem with the power button which does not pop back

a hack is that open your CPU and change the restart button plug on the motherboard with the power button plug "note: do not plug in the power buttons plug back "" then try to start your computer with the restart button

It's the PSU, for some reason when I tried the PSU on another computer it worked, and then when I tried it on mine, it didn't so I thought it was something else and not the PSU... I then decided to try a 500W PSU my uncle has it the computer turned on and stood on, only the first 2 light turned on, but it was because I only had toe 20pin and the 4pin, but it turned on and thats what matters. I'm going to try using a 400W PSU my uncle has that he doesn't use while I save some money for another PSU. Planing on getting a 650W cause I want to overclock my CPU back to 4.4GHz and use my factory overclock 560ti. Going to be using only 1HDD and a stock GTX 560 and according to eXtreme Outervision, 400W is enough(including the fans and all the other things)

BTW, the PSU had a blown capacitor, so if your having this problem, then I recommend you carefully opening your PSU and check it out or if you have a another PSU laying around then better, it doesn't matter how many watts it is since your only going to power your MOBO and CPU.

I will post once I get my computer up and running and hopefully the bad PSU didn't mess anything up :D

Sorry for the late response. I tried to other PSU and the computer didn't turn on(it did the same thing, turns on for a split second and then off), even tho the first time I tried it, it did...

I'm going to have to buy a new PSU and MOBO. I will update this thread once I get my hands on the new MOBO and PSU and hopefully nothing else got damaged when the PSU died...
