Hey,
I was wondering, is it possible that my wireless card can be overheating and that's why the download speed and performance are unstable? I recently installed Akasa's anti-noise mat and since then i've been experiencing alot of lagg and performance drops.

And if i may ask, which cooler might be the best for 30€, with dimensions 10x10x15cm or at least familiar to the AMD FX 6200 original heatsink?

Thanks for your help:)

There are no "best" coolers matching the original heatsink dimensions. If you want a better cooler you need to go bigger. There are top down designs that are similar to the stock cooler, most of them are no better than the stock cooler, unless you go bigger with the heatsink. If you use the same size heatsink, you get the same amount of heat dissipation. There are better fans however. Again though, it's probably not worth the cost to only upgrade the fan to a better fan when you can get a better heatsink fan combo for not much more.

I've never heard of a network card overheating unless it had a short for some reason in which case it probably wouldn't work at all. Try reinstalling the drivers for your card. That is the most common issue with network cards in either incorrect drivers or somebody messing with the advanced settings. Or the card just being faulty.

It's also pretty doubtful the noise mat is a problem, unless it's up against a fan and causing heat that way.

Thanks for your answer, but i cant get a cooler higher than 15cm and doubtful a few cms wider. What cooler do you recommend?

I'll try reinstalling my card drivers, but i haven't used false software because i got the original drivers with the card. Maybe its overheating because its too close to my graphic card? If the card doesnt work proberly for the next few days i'll get it refound.

About the mat, I didnt install the mat anywhere around the fans, just on top, bottom and sideways. I'm trying to improve my airflow since i had this problem so, any suggestions?

Sometimes the drivers that come with hardware are outdated or were intended for an earlier operating system by the time we purchase the unit. If you can tell me the brand and model of the network card I can point you to the best driver available for it. I also need to know your operating system and version. As far as the cpu cooler here are a couple of choices:

Also, if you can provide a description of your case fan arrangement and specs and possibly post some pics that would be helpful in assisting you.

If the driver was outdated, it wouldn't work at all i think. Card : Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I + Bluetooth 4.0, powered by Intel's wireless technology. System : Win 7, Service pack 1.

I've ajusted my hardware in case few hrs ago, picked better spots for SSD,HDD,GPU and Wireless card, also cleaned the Heatsink and the case.
I've done speed tests and it seems to be working fine, but i still kinda want to replace the heatsink. I've looked at your suggestions and i like the second one, but its way too big to fit on my motherboard. It's 4 cms wider and longer, i dont know how will i fit it in. Plus, what's the shipping time on newegg? I dont like ordering and waiting a month, and i cant find good heatsinks in local stores.. Thanks for your help, appreciate it.

Yeah, that's not true at all. In fact, that doesn't even make sense. People use outdated drivers all the time, it's the whole reason they have driver UPDATES. And a lot of these hardware components sit on shelves and in warehouses, sometimes for years. If you had any idea how many hardware components I've purchased lately that say "designed for windows 7" you would realize your statement is just incorrect.

Tons of products designed for Windows 7 don't work worth a shit in Windows 8 or 8.1 without the correct (If available) driver updates. Even most of the Windows 8 hardware doesn't work right in Windows 8.1 without a driver update. Oh, most of them will work, but not well.

Do you have a giant GPU card or something, is that what the space concerns are all about? Most people can fit much larger fan and heatsink combos in there cases and on their boards without issue. What kind of case and motherboard do you have or is this a pre-built rig? If so, what's the brand and model?

Here's a link to the network card drivers. You'll just have to find the correct one for your version of Windows including whether it's 32 or 64 bit:

The installed drivers have an auto updater, so it shouldnt be out-dated. Thank you for your correction. I dont like Windows 8 or 8.1, Its so complicated to find advanced settings for your computer, im much familiar to Windows 7 so yeah. Btw, I've heard that alot of drivers made for 8 and 8.1 dont work well, or even are not available.

Im not concerned just about my giant ass gpu, but the small case I got too. Actually, i could fit in but im worried about RAM slots. They're just on the right side of my cpu, only 10 cms far, and Im also concerned about the height, it must be lower than 15 cms.

I'll just type down my whole system specs:
AMD FX 6200
Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS (just temporary, got my GTX 660 fixed)
Samsung 840EVO 120
WD Green 1TB
Sharkoon 600 Watt psu
Sharkoon Vaya ATX Case

Its small, i should replace it but right now i dont have money for that, because of school.

Thank you for your time.

The vaya supports coolers up to 15.5 cm,the next are all under that and (much) better than the stock cooler,

No i dont have OC ram but i have the ones with heatsinks. Thank you. But about the heatsink, its 2 years old and i cleaned it today, works okay but heats the motherboard chipset coolers around it so i might replace it anyways.

Actuall, if you have a good rear upper and top case fan to draw out the case heat, the cpu cooler actually COOLS the motherboard components on a top down style cooler like the stock setup. Motherboard components actually get hotter with tower style coolers since there's nothing blowing on them.

Width wise do these coolers run parallel with the ram,not right angled on it.With the dimensions of the case will only top down or coolers like the hyper tx3 fitt.I think that amd coolers suck, the fan can be horribly loud.

Maybe look at something like this one,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/zalman-cpu-cooler-cnps8900quiet
just looked at a review does good and is quiet.Still works with a back plate which imo is a good thing,it makes it a little harder to install though.

Or maybe this one,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/logisys-cpu-cooler-ac4400bt
can't find reviews, but at newegg are there few that are very happy with it and tell that it 's a quite silent cooler.

Could be, but i highly doubt it because i have mid tower atx case and i have just one 120mm fan in the front and one it the back which draws the heat out. But the backside one doesnt help much because its air its way hotter than it should be.

I like the second one, but i'd like to make air to flow trough the case, it which this doesnt help. I'd like something like Hyper 212 Evo but smaller and lighter than 600grams. And agreed, stock fans are just temporary if you dont game or render/edit stuff on your pc.

Look at the first three=one link i posted for a cooler like the evo.The zalman optima is about the same and will do fine. All three will do better than the stock one.

I'm sorry, have to eat my words.Looked again and according to this review is the thermalright better not used at a 8core fx,
http://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCsQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tomshardware.com%2Freviews%2Fthermalright-true-spirit-heat-sink%2C3560.html&ei=38X1U5yQAaWfygO0woHoDA&usg=AFQjCNHI03OrlDIVS_P3bOYNRxJUUGQHXA

Because of the back plate will the zalman Optima do fine even though it's a little heavier than you want,
Dimensions:132(L) x 85(W) x 152(H)mm
Weight:630g

Im worried about the height too.. I'll find something with right dimensions .
