Having issues with Geforce Experience. When I go to add a directory it just does the loading animation on the mouse. If I move the mouse then it goes away, yet it never goes beyond that to input new directories.

I have the most recent drivers as well, anyone getting a similar problem?

Solution
The only things I could find that might be applicable to your situation - from the GeForce Experience website:

"The GeForce Experience Scan for games feature can only support unsecured directories. Directories that have access limitations (such as network shares, user directories, etc.) are not supported.

GeForce Experience creates a new user named "UpdatusUser". If this user profile does not have read access to the directory where your games are installed to, Geforce Experience will not be able to locate those games.

Supported games must be patched to the latest version available from the developer. The Geforce Experience will not detect older versions of the game, the use of game cracks or other mods which makes changes to the...

I have done a fresh install and restarted as well numerous times. The only directory there is is C:\Program Files(x86) and C:\Program Files. So the directory I want isnt in here.

Just so you know, when you "add a directory" to Experience, all you're doing is linking the program to a directory location on your drive. If the directory location doesn't already exist somewhere on a drive that is connected, it won't show up in the GeForce Experience locations list. In other words, when you hit the "Check now" button in the Preferences tab under "Games", it's going to go through whatever drives are physically connected to your system and locate games that are installed and supported, and add them to the locations list. You can install a game to a connected drive, then manually direct GeForce Experience to it by hitting the "+", then browsing to the game's directory location.

There are no games installed in the Experience program or program folders, only settings for games that are installed elsewhere.

Between all my drives I have about three dozen games that are supported by Experience. Right now only two show up, I have played at least 15 of those games in the last six weeks due to being out of work due to surgery. Before the fresh installs I had about 30 of those 36 games on my Experience "games" tab, the six others are on a separate drive that I was trying to add the directory to and am actually playing one of those games now. so I'm not 100% sure I fully understand what you're saying...

Sorry - sounded like you might be trying to use the program as some kind of pseudo game-drive and wanted to make sure that wasn't the case. I try to be careful about assuming basic knowledge in this forum - it's bitten me in the ass a couple of times.

It's no worries, this is a site for help and a lot of beginners come here too. I would label myself as moderate beginner. I know enough about hardware and shit and how to build but when it comes to software I am as clueless as they come.

One thing you could try is when you open it, instead of just double-clicking it or left-clicking it in the Start Menu, right-click it and run it as administrator and see if that will do the trick.
