1. Is 6 cores needed for video rending?
2. I like the cleaner look of a closed loop liquid cooling system
3. Not going to be heavy overclocking or multi-card setup, but wanted a motherboard that at least had the option for it, (in case I need more power).
4. Would 1866/2400Mhz be better, and is 16GB enough?
5. Speed of an SSD and storage of an HDD (Decent drives based on the specs/reviews)
6. I believe 6gb vram would give more benefits than a 3gb 780 ti, but I'm not entirely sure.
7. Quality case, good airflow.
8. 850w is enough, right? I won't be adding a 2nd card anytime soon, unless I need the power.
9. Will be converting Blu-ray to digital format
10. I like the benefits of Win 8.1 pro vs. Win 8.1 home
11. I want superior sound quality for video rendering and entertainment use.
12. I want a quality wireless card

Note: The setup will be one 1080p monitor and one 1440p monitor. The 1440p will be the primary one, and the 1080p for extra space and/or FPS games.

So is this a good setup for video rending/gaming, is there something I should change out?

All looks good except DRAM, if going 16GB would suggest have it in a 4x4GB setup so you can use the quad channel available, else if heavy video work go ahead and go to 4x8GB....also1600 is entry level with your rig would look at 1866 or 2133/9 sticks, 2400 would prob require a CPU OC

1. It's not necessary but it will improve performance significantly.
4. What the person above me said pretty much covers that.
8. 850w should be enough even if you buy a second gpu.

It looks pretty solid to me. You might consider waiting a couple of weeks as Haswell-e is coming out then. The 5820k is going to be a 6 core for 350-450 (this pricing is speculation from tech sites) so it might save you some cash. Then again the way ddr4 prices are looking you may have to spend that 100 or so you save on that.

Not bad, if you are doing an X79 build now, you can wait approximately one month to get a X99 Haswell-E processor with DDR4.

I7-4790k pumps out a little more per-core performance then Ivy Bridge E (even without overclocking), but only 4 cores with hyperthreading. (Would save you about $350 on the cpu/motherboard)

Samsung 850 Pro is available.

I forgot to change to quad channel memory, thank you for the reminder. So I went with this one, now since it's 2133Mhz I will have to OC it in the BIOS, otherwise it's 1600Mhz stock right?

I thought the Haswell processors weren't coming out till November/December? And it wasn't even desktop CPU's, it would be for laptop/ultra books/ tablets. Has that date been confirmed though?

Also changed it to the 850 series, thank you for pointing that out.
