Hey people,

I've recently got a Seasonic S12 PSU and today something really strange happenned, my pc (while i was having dinner) turned itself off and said it detected a surge, ok, i said.

Rebooted and kept going with my life, then it did it again, after i turned it on again it said that the power was unstable.

I checked the bios and there was something red which it meants to have 5 volts and it has 5.8 volts.

I turned the Asus Power surge option off to turn on the computer and write this but im afraid it will burn something in there.

i took a picture of my bios so you could check it out.

Please help me out!

Thank you,

Seasonic is very good brand PSU, but for this one it is not good for the 5V voltage, like the +12V, 5V, and 3.3V. Those number should be within +/- 5%. That is why I ask you use other software to check it out. And if you have other PSU, try it first to see what you get. And try this seasonic again, because the MB has the over voltage protection feature, then if the voltage is over then the MB will shut down like you had now.

If you have the same result then RMA it. You maybe very luck to get the bad one.
