Hey all. I am building a high-end gaming PC, I want to run above 30-40 fps all the games that are coming this year and the next at max settings. This is what I have on mind:

CPU:
Intel Core i7 4790K ($339.99)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KPRWAX8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

GPU:
EVGA GeForce GTX 770 SC 2GB DDR5 ($329.99)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CZIQXBA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_9?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

RAM:
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB ($89.99)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J8E93G6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Motherboard:
ASUS Maximus VI Hero ($187.99)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CXIVEA2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

HDD:
Seagate Desktop 3TB HDD SATA 6Gb/s ($102.12)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005T3GRLY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

SSD:
Crucial M500 120GB ($69.99)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQ4F9ZA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Water Cooling:
Corsair H100i ($94.99)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZN2NH6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Power Supply:
Thermaltake 750W 80 Plus Bronze ($63.95)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A00LR6G/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Case:
CM Storm Enforcer ($115.65)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WK3KKQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AZA8F2FX7HCUJ

TOTAL: $1394.66
Does it worth the money? This build is going to run games 3-4 years from now smoothly? Do we need to start thinking on 8 cores cpus for next-gen games?
I accept any suggestions on components if there's not so much difference in price but better performance. In any case, feel free to suggest.
Thanks.

Great build! However, I have a few suggestions:
1. Save money and get an R9 280X or pony up for an R9 290.
2. A 1600/10 8GB kit is not worth the money... Check out this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231655
3. Save money and opt for an ASRock Z97 Extreme4/6. If you want ASUS, check out the Z97-A.
4. Get the MX100, 840 EVO, or Arc 100 instead of the M500.
5. I highly recommend the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate. If you want quietness and the same performance, check out air coolers like the D15 and R1 Ultimate.
6. Get a Seasonic, XFX, Corsair, or EVGA PSU.
7. Switch to the Phanteks Enthoo Pro.
Change the PSU to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438025&cm_re=evga_750w-_-17-438-025-_-Product

And the i5 4690k is the best bang for your buck if you want to save some money.

Also, for the CPU cooler, I recommend the Kraken X41 as it performs better and is MUCH quieter than the h100i. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146041

Take a look at the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 Or Phanteks Enthoo Pro because they are better in that price range (plus they are cheaper by $20).

You will also be able to max out every game (maybe not crysis with AA all the way up) way above 60fps

Thank you all for your answers, I have modified a few things due to your suggestions. A little question, Do you think we need to start thinking on 8 cores cpus for next-gen games?

Definitely this.
If your games are going to be installed on a HDD, get a faster one like the Western digital black or a little bit cheaper the seagate barracuda. Maybe you could get better GPU if swapping 4790k for 4690k which you should.
Personally I prefer Air cooling and the Noctua NH-D15 is the best on the market for £70 (dunno about price in US).

The i7 will last you longer than 8 core amd CPU's. If you want a very long lasting machine, get an i7.

I agree, I have researched a lot these days about that and I'm going for the i7. But here's the thing, I'm going to wait until games like GTA V and other ones coming in early 2015 to see how the quad-core i7 performs with these games; watch some benchmark's videos and save money for that baby.

Nice, thanks for the advice, I din't know that. I picked a Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1866Mhz this time.
