hey guys,
some time back I was in a tight budget and recently put some money and bought a computer for gaming purpose!
Normally I play games like BF4, BF3, COD ghosts, AC4, watch dogs etc.Since the new nvidia gpu's, DDR4 rams, 5th gen intel cpus etc are releasing at Q4 of this year. I was thinking whether do I have to do an upgrade!

My current rig:

Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5 Gaming (bought 8 months ago)
CPU: Intel core i5 4570 @ 3.2GHz (bought 3 months ago)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon r9 270X Vapor-X with OC & BOOST. (bought 1 week ago ago)
Ram: Gskill ripjaws 4GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
HDD: Toshiba 500GB @ 5400rpm
PSU: Corsair RM 750
My suggested upgrade: MSI z97 Gaming 5 motherboard along with a core i5 5th gen processor (once it is released).

Also guys what do you think of WD blue 1Tb? is it good for gaming>???

I don't think a better processor is going to be worth the cost, even if you sold your current processor to offset the cost. Upgrades I would suggest is 8GB of DDR3-1600 RAM. If you can purchase the exact same kit you purchased before, that would be ideal. Secondly, get a 120GB - 256GB SSD for your OS and games. Leave your 5400 RPM HDD for just storage.

I would recommend a new HDD (7200rpm) for faster load times, or a SSD. Also get 4 more GBs of Ram since games are starting to need 8GBs. If you feel you get enough performance in games for now, don't upgrade.

I would say he should get rid of the 5400 RPM or at least use it as a last resort and get a 7200RPM since how slow it it.

SSD, 8GB memory, and if you want more then a more powerful graphics card. A CPU upgrade is totally unnecessary.

DDR4 memory is useless at the moment. Way more expensive with no real benefit for desktop computers. Plus it's not compatible with Z97 or any other mainstream platform, just the upcoming X99 platform.

So can my processor handle all these games even if I play them in ultra and what would be the difference between this and upcoming i5 processor?? Also what do you think of the motherboard upgrade?

i will say the upgrade is unnecessary if u want more fps in games just upgrade your GPU and get another 4gb ram or sell the 4 gb and get a pair of 2x4 gb of ram wd blue is good hdd it will not affect the gaming performance but if u get an ssd and install the game there u will notice that the loading and saving time in game has reduced......

I agree with the rest but he should get a 7200rpm HDD first since the difference between 5400rpm, and 7200rpm is quite large.

The Broadwell Core i5 CPUs will be 0-5% faster than Haswell Core i5 CPUs. It's really a minimal upgrade. Anything that will run well on Broadwell will run well on Haswell too.

Your processor is fine. It's one step below the ideal (4670K) processor for gaming. It will hold up for many years to come (barring a sudden explosion in game coding and processor power). I would estimate that an upgrade from your current processor to a next gen processor (assuming it's compatible with your current motherboard) would result in nearly negligible performance increases and is certainly not worth the cost.

A motherboard upgrade is (in my opinion) just as pointless as a CPU upgrade. Until there is a significantly better processor that is not compatible with your current motherboard, any upgrade other that those I suggested are not worth the cost.

Double your RAM to 8GB. If you cannot find an identical 2x2GB RAM to what you already have or if your motherboard does not accept 4 RAM Modules, get a new 2x4GB kit for your system.

Get and SSD for your OS and favorite games. Your current hard drive is causing slow downs in load speeds. If you do nothing else, get a 7200RPM hard drive and reinstall Windows onto that. If it's within budget, get an SSD.

My recommedations; In Order:

1) SSD
2) If no SSD, 7200RPM HDD
3) 8GB RAM
4) Nothing
5) Nothing
6) Nothing
7) Nothing
8) Higher end graphics card
9) A better processor
10) Nothing
11) Nothing
12) Nothing
13) Nothing
14) A new motherboard.
