This is my first build so if something dosen't work please don't make fun of me :) )

Graphics card: Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 270X OC 2GB GDDR5

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive

RAM: HyperX FURY Series 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

CPU:Intel Core i7 4770K LGA1150 CPU 3.5 GHz

Case Zalman Z9 Plus Midi Tower Case - Black

Power supply: Corsair Builder Series CXM 600W

HDD: WD 1TB 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue

MB: MSI B85M-G43

I would seriously consider the Z97 chipset to take full advantage of your K CPU

Also, if the system is for pure gaming and a few other light tasks, get the i5 K version and save yourself a few dollars or spend the savings and move to the R9 280.

You're good. But since you are buying a "K" processor, I assume you will be wanting to OC it. That board, while an OK board, is not very good for OC'ing. In fact, I would not attempt OC'ing the CPU with it. It has poor phase power and no heat sinks over the VRMs.
