I have a Acer Aspire 5755g. It runs a Gt540m and Intel HD graphics 3000. I currently have it connected to 2 monitors, a Dell P1911 and P1913. The 1913 is connected through my VGA port and works fine. I'm a programmer so I connect my laptop to dual monitors several times a day. The problem i'm running into is that my P1911 will not 'extend' without shutting off the extend to P1913. My graphics being used is the intel HD. Is there a way I can run both monitors along with my laptop with my nvidia and hd? Or is there any way this will work?(I need my 1911 for coding purposes only)

I appreciate anyone who is willing to take the time to help. I tried searching online but could not find a solution to my specific problem.

Your computer has NVidia optimus technology right?

If so then oh well, because HD 3000 only supports 2 monitors and you can't use NVidia gpu because of how optimus works.

Your only option is to get a graphics adapter that has it's own gpu, that way you can run 3+ monitors between the adapters gpu and the HD 3000.

I know it's a bummer, I have the exact same igpu and gpu so yeah it's a headache.
