Hello, I just recently bought a new computer. Alienware AX15. Windows 7. I have never had a problem like this before with my old computer, but I am connected to the internet using a wireless adapter, Netgear AC1200. When i first start up my computer everything is fine, but at some point I can no longer open any webpages or connect to my League of Legends games. However I can still talk to friends on Skype. I do a /ipconfig release and then renew, which works for about 10 minutes, but then It all starts again. It is extremely annoying and I have looked up solutions for similar problems but none seeming to fix mine. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
First, check your PC's network configuration CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK AND INTERNET > NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER > CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS. Right click on your adapter, go to properties. Your computer should be set to "Obtain an IP Address automatically". This will allow your router to assign the IP address for each device.

All devices on the network should be the same way. On your router (this will vary depending upon your router), you should be able check the settings by going to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. DHCP should be enabled on your router.

If you are not familiar with IP configurations, you might want to get some help here.....there are hours of tutorials and it could take days to learn all that is needed to setup your...
The two things I would look for:
1) Another device that is using the same IP address of your laptop (which could create issues connecting to the internet)
2) Signal problems with wi-fi.

The most likely reason is the IP address conflict. Are you getting any error messages regarding IP addresses? Do you have automatic configuration (DHCP enabled)?

Well I still use my old computer along with my new computer. 2 separate monitors. 2 different adapters. They are both desktops. However even if i unplug the adapter on my old computer and shut it off, I still get the problems. But when im using my old computer next to my new computer, i have no issues with it. I have even tried switching the adapters on my pc's however the problem only remains on this one computer. Which is windows 7, the other one is windows 8. I live with my family and we all share the same router

You can run multiple computers with out issues if your network is configured properly. I have 2 computers and 1 laptop on my desk - all work without issues. If turning off the other computer doesn't fix it (this would eliminate a problem with the adapters interfering with each other), there must be an IP address conflict on the network.

If you boot up, and the IP address 192.168.0.44 is assigned to your computer (the last set of digits can be anywhere between 1 and 254), and another computer or device connects to the network utilizing that same IP address, you will have problems. The most common reason for this is you have static IP addresses configured in your network settings, and another computer or device is using that same IP address (i.e. 192.168.0.44).
