Hey guys! I just built a computer and it looks right but when i start it up it shows no video and the computer restarts over and over if left alone (fans turn on, hdd's/ssd's turn on) but it just turns off and restarts. I tried disconnecting everything from my case to see if that was the problem but it still does the same thing. My motherboard has 2 bios a backup and a main. there's a switch on the board to switch between the 2. When i switch it to single bios it turns on but no video and stays on (fans spinning) but if i put it back to dual it restarts and does the process over and over again. Any help please? first time building a computer and it's frustrating to see it not going as you planned it to go lol! but i've been trying things.

Thanks!

It may be a problem with the BIOS. Switching the Clear CMOS and/or switching between BIOS while the power is connected to the PSU can result in bricking the mobo (BIOS chips need to be replaced).

What make/model of mobo, CPU, GPU and RAM do you have?

Start it in Safe Mode (F8) then disable automatic restart on failure. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/advanced-sta...

Then you have to figure out why it was failing.

I would if i could even get into the bios >_>...But nothing literally shows up. There is no POST

Are both the 24-pin power and 8-pin power connected to the mobo?

Is the RAM seated properly? Make sure they are in the proper slots - and if it still fails, try booting with only one RAM stick - and/or switching out the RAM.

Is the CPU seated properly, CPU fan seated properly, and all fans operational?
