Every CPU is different , just get a decent after market cooler before you over-clock.

So the mobo won't limit the max GHz I can overclock to? just the CPU's max GHz itself?

You can also buy a $200.00 motherboard and Water cooling and go for higher overclocks.

It's a combination of equipment , cooling , a good CPU and ability.

So what GHz do you think I could max overclock it to with that mobo and the 4790k?

Every CPU is different , so it's really hard to predict , there was a guy on the forum a few days ago that could barely get his to 4790k to overclock at all and he had great components.
