Hi guys,

I built myself a PC a few years ago that i'm very happy with, and now my friend wants me to do the same for her so she can play The Sims 4 upon release. Just looking for a bit of advice in terms of cheap build options while still achieving decent framerates at medium-high settings.

I'm in Sydney, so will be using this parts list to work from as AFAIK its the cheapest in my area.
http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf

This PC build is from scratch as she currently only owns a MacBook, but I was thinking of upgrading some of the parts in my PC as im much more of a gaming enthusiast, and using the old parts in her build and paying off the difference in value.

My current specs are:
Case:
Thermaltake Dokker
http://www.thermaltake.com.au/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001662

Mobo:
ASUS P8Z68-V

CPU:
intel i7-2600k @ 3.40 GHz

PSU:
cooler master eXtreme power plus 700W

RAM:
8GB G-skill DDR3 824Mhz frequency (2x4gb)

GPU:
AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB

SSD:
Kingston SV100 64GB SSD - running windows 7 64 bit

HDD:
2x Western Digital WD Black 1TB WD1002FAEX

I'm thinking if my GPU is powerful enough for her needs, my video card could do with an upgrade so I can play some of the more demanding games available today. Any advice about other areas where my old parts would be sufficient / i'm in need of an upgrade myself would be greatly appreciated, as would any total build suggestions with a cost from the parts listed.

I found this website that lists (not confirmed how accurately..) different specs brackets for The Sims 4
http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=7782&game=The%20Sims%204

She doesn't want to spend too much money on this system as it will probably be the only graphically demanding game she will play, so I might set a rough price roof of about $800 AUD.

Thanks in advance for your time guys, and sorry if i've missed any important information!

Dave
