Asus RT-N66R Help.

Hello guys,

I'm currently using the Asus RT-N66R as my wireless router. It has a feature that allows me to plug an external HD to create a NAS. However, after the recent firmware update that functionality ceases to work. The router detects the hardware but isn't detected on my computer as a network location (It was detected on the previous firmware). Any advice?

You might have to remount the volume in the ASUS setup. I have a similar router, and with every firmware update, I had to reinstall the USB devices.

Turned off DLNA, disconnected the disk, unmounted, unplugged and then plugged back in. Still not working. Did I do all that correctly?

Did you turn DLNA back on and mount the volume?

Yes. Thinking it was the HD, I mounted a USB. Still not working. I wonder if anyone with my specific router is facing the same problems.

Check the system log on the router to see if any error messages appear regarding the hard drive.
