Is this a good build for a first timer? Will it work? if so any tips on the build, if not any PC part recommendations? I also am very interested in the mini PC or smaller PC builds but couldn't get one that would be good for my price range of $700-800, so any prodigy, coolmaster, ect builds are welcome!

Crucial has great RAM but if you don't mind forking some extra money an upgrade to a G.Skill or Corsair. I believe the price it's about $10.

I wouldn't go with a Corsair PSU but either Antec, EVGA, SeaSonic, Thermaltake or XFX to name a few of the great brands.

So I got this build and the only thing I don't like is the price :( any advice to lower this at all?
This will be used only for gaming and yes I would like to keep the optical drive.
Any parts that I should get now as they are the lowest price and any that I should avoid and wait for later?
