Hello guys!

I am about to build my first custom computer...and I really need some opinions.

At the moment my build looks like this:

Okay...so what I want to ask is:

Which GPU is better?

Gigabyte nVidia GeForce GTX 770 OC WindForce x3 2GB GDDR5 256bit:

OR

Asus nVidia GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 256bit:

ALSO:

What Memory should I pick?

Corsair KIT 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz radiator Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9:

OR

Kingston Beast Series KIT 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz Non-ECC CL9 Dual Channel KHX16C9T3K2/8X:

I will really appreciate if you tell me which of those options should I pick...and why.

Also...what do you think about the other parts?

I am waiting for your comments.

Best regards!

P.S: I want to build this PC only with Intel and nVidia parts.

More about : gpu ram

Asus GPU is better than Gigabyte. Some people have found some problems on terms of FPS drops with the Windforce.

The Corsair RAM is better than the Kingston.

For the Ram, it's basically the exact same ram. It just comes down to brand preference. Personally i would take the Corsair because: I trust the brand, looks better (lol) and the voltage rating is lower by .15, Typically this shows the quality of the ram. Lower = Better.

Graphics card wise, Pretty much the same thing. Brands. Keep in mind the Gigabyte card has 3 fans compared to Asus's 2, which will keep the card cooler. Both overclock very well and are very similar in almost all categories.
In the end i would likely grab the Asus card because Asus is a brand that I trust. "Personal Preference"

The gigabyte gpu is better as it has a higher base clock speed and higher boost speed, the corsair is better as it uses less power, even though the power difference is decimals

The PSU is a bad choice. Never go with a CX Series as many users have encounter problems.

I recommend PSU from Antec, SeaSonic, EVGA, Thremaltake, XFX to name a few.

Build looks pretty solid. Only thing you could change would be swapping to a K processor and z97 board if you were interested in overclocking down the road.

It looks like you have someone assembling your pc? It that's not free then do it yourself. Awesome experience and saves you money.

good luck with the build

The guys from the sotre where I'll buy the components will put the parts together. I'd love to do it myself...but I am kinda scared I will void the warranty...as this is my first pc build.

Also, morgilroka..what do you think about the PSU? Is it really that bad?

P.S: I am not going to overclock.

I use a CX750M with no problems, but indeed i`ve heard that some people have problems with them being the entry level PSU from Crosair, if you indeed like the brand go for an RM/AX series from Corsair.

For the Seagate you could put a little bit more money and get a Surveillance series drive, in theory this series is more reliable for 24/7 use.
On PCGarage.ro the 2 TB version has 100% reliability and the 1TB version is at around 98% , i have both versions in my system...well actually the desktop version as well.. no problem with any of them...

PS: Salut :)

It's not the best to be totally honest. But i've used the CX series in a couple of family builds and they've been fine. Good luck i guess?
If you're worried about it. Swap it over to the HX series which i can vouch for (powering current build). Amazing products by corsair and i'm a huge supporter of them.

It's almost impossible to mess up a build, literally plug and play it's just learning where the stuff goes. If they store is going to do it for free/cheap. go for it... But i still think the experience is worth doing it yourself. And you know exactly how things are setup for whenever you plan to upgrade.

Same question for you. Do you think it is enaugh?

And also..what about the 600-620 ons? Which one of those is the best one? I would really prefer a 600-620w PSU.

True just realise your GPU, go with at least 600W.

Okay so there are 2 PSUs from Antec...one with 600w and one with 700w...not a big price difference BUT still...which is the better one?

It is only. $20 extra for the 700W so if you don't mind paying a MIT extra then it will be a food choice in my opinion.

Sorry for the not answering in full answer as it is hard to scroll up and down to see the images as I am not on a suitable device to do that.

No problem and thanks a lot for your answers!

(I think I will make a new post on the PSUs section...but so far I am pretty sure I will choose the Antec 700w)

Best Regards!
