What are your GPU temps at when you start seeing artifacts and crashing?

It's not heat. Probably a driver issue. I don't think combining your card with the onboard graphics is considered a crossfire either. I think it's considered amd radeon dual graphics and I don't think you're supposed to use the crossfire drivers for it so that could be where your problem is coming from.

CrossFire™ harnesses the power of two or more discrete graphics cards

AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics combines greater image quality and boosts visual performance when you combine a Quad-Core AMD APU for desktops with the AMD Radeon™ HD graphics card

These both use different driver setups and if you're using the crossfire drivers, that's likely the problem.

Well, I just noticed you said you had the same problem without crossfire so I'm thinking it's still a drivers issue.

Are you saying you had the same problem with the graphics card, but NOT with the onboard graphics from the APU? If that's the case, that the problem only started with the installation of the card itself, which you didn't make clear, then yeah, there's a chance it's the card. It could still be a driver issue though. Or a settings issue.

Glad you got it going. Sure have been seeing a lot of faulty GPU cards lately. For what they cost you'd think there would be better quality control.
