I am trying to build a Gaming PC for the next Gen Games ( Dragon Age:Inquisition, The Witcher 3:Wild Hunt ) and would like to get some advice on what Motherboard would be the best to start with?

Solution
Yes,I prefer the i5 over the FX series when it comes to next-gen gaming.
For the i5 4th gen(which is the most widely used generation of i5s for next-gen gaming) you will need an LGA1150 motherboard.
There are A LOT of LGA1150 motherboards.
If you would choose a i5 4670 or a 4690,which are the locked versions(which means they can't be OC'd),get an H97 chipset motherboard from AsRock,ASUS,Gigabyte or MSI.
If you would choose an i5 4670K or a 4690K,which are the unlocked versions(they can be OC'd),get a Z97 motherboard also made by AsRock,ASUS,Gigabyte or MSI.
All the best. ;)

I would like to keep all of it under $600 to begin with and would upgrade later as i get more money to invest. I haven't even looked at CPU's to start with and am up for any recomedation.

Well, for AMD FX processors, you need an AM3+ motherboard.
You have a couple of options:
1. ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
2. ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
3. ASUS M5A99FX PRO
4. ASUS Sabertooth 990FX and finally
5. ASUS Crosshair V Formula.
The Formula is the best, but also the most expensive.I would get the M5A99X EVO or the Sabertooth, but it's totally up to you.
AMD FX processors are the best for gaming.FX-8320 is by far the best option.FX-6300 is also an excellent choice.

But for next-gen gaming,an Intel Core i5 is a way better choice than AMD FX series.CPUs like i5 4670,4670K,4690 and 4690K will outperform the FX 8320 in some games, while the 8320 will beat an i5 4690 in some games,in terms of FPS.
All the best. ;)
