Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter (Code 10) Problem

I ran an anti-virus program a few hours ago and I think it may have deleted some important files from my computer which prevents me from going onto the internet. I think the problem is the Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter which has a Code 10 problem. I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this: I have tried disabling, reinstalling, changing the Regedit key to 0 and so many more but it still doesnt work. I have looked online for hours trying to find a solution but I can't. I cant restore to a previous point becuase it's not showing me that option to do so. I am a novice to computers so any suggestions please keep it as simple as possible. Should I perhaps install a new network driver or just keep trying to fix this one? Please any answers will be helpful. Thanks

Is this by wfi or ethernet?

Do the network devices in control panel, device manager work properly? Are their drivers up to date?

This is by ethernet and yes I have tried updating the driver but it says it could not find the driver software for your device

What mobo?

You can always add a card eg http://www.newegg.com/Network-Interface-Cards/SubCategory/ID-27

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2P and what do you mean by add a card?

If your ethernet chip has gone dud, either replace the motherboard or just add one of those network cards I pointed to.

Wait something happened and now the problem is Code 31, it says "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device." Is this good or bad now that I know what the problem is?

Um no actually, when I checked my Device Manager on the Network Adapter it was set on Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter

Well download and install the correct driver.

I also had Code 10 issue showing in device manager. Followed online fixes: ( i.e. hdwwiz.cpl, and changing regedit key to 0, removing and reinstalling Teredo adapter )
Network driver was up to date.
In device manager, reinstalled Teredo shows as "Microsoft Teredo Tunnelling Adapter #2)
Fix is to opendevice manager, view hidden devices. (I had two Teredo adapter listed)
Uninstall Teredo Adapter listed with error code.

Have you run ALL your updates? This happened to me just today. Suddenly, I was not able to access the Internet on my main PC but was able to on the phone and laptop. And when I tried to run my updates for Windows 8, I also received the failure to update message. I kept rebooting and finally my updates worked and my computer was back to normal.

Your solution worked fine. Teredo is no longer seen in Device Manager under Networks, but appears in the hidden list with no yellow triangle.

hey!
Just run CMD as manager and write it down "netsh winsock reset". and then restart your computer.
It's going all fine!
