I have a a HP SFF 3010 Model Number VW313EA. While on the PC the other day, it suddenly turned itself off. It will not turn on again. There is no sound of anything booting up, and the fan on the PSU does not operate. I am thinking that the switch on the front has failed, as one use to get a double click when turning it on, but now just get the one click, either that or the PSU has died. Can you help me please?

Unfortunately it sounds like your Power Supply has gone south and failed. I would check all the Power Supplies connections to make sure none have come loose. Also, check for burnt wiring.

Hi Paul
Thank you for the quick response. I must admit I did favour the switch being faulty, as the PC had done this a couple of times before, but had always managed to switch it on again. I went onto the HP Part Surfer Website last week and looked up the part numbers of the required items. I also didn't smell any smoke, or cannot smell anything that remotely resembles burnt wiring
Best Wishes

Andrew
