As some guys they said above choose a cheaper CPU cooler so you get a better gpu, but be aware that haswell cpus get pretty hot.
I also recommend a better PSU than CX or EVGA. Get XFX, they are made from seasonic, top line! XFX650 or XFX750 would be enough for that single card system :)

I would go with a cheaper cooler like a coolermaster hyper 212 and put the savings towards GPU. The savings might be enough for at least a 280x. I would look at the Evga 600b for PSU. It is a pretty decent budget unit. Case is usually a personal choice, but I would look at the Spec-02 from corsair, as it is a bit cheaper. I would go with a Z97 extreme3 over that MSI. Look for a 7200rpm drive if you intend to make your storage drive you only drive.

Good recommendations, but the Hyper 212 Evo won't fit into that case. I'd recommend something like the 200R or the 300R.

The corsair CX series is mediocre at best, the EVGA b series is worse still (made by HEC!). I wouldn't put either in a machine this nice. See Rosewill Capstone (SuperFlower made, great units for the money).

The only time 240mm rads actually cool better than a large heatpipe double tower like a D14, Silver Arrow, HE02, PH-TC14PE, or similar, is when they are making more noise. I used a rad for awhile, got sick of the pump noise and found myself going back to a heatpipe cooler with very little change in thermal dissipation performance when compared at equal noise levels.

The 500b scored well on Jonnyguru. I highly doubt the 600b would score any differently. For a budget unit, it isn't as bad as you are trying to make it out to be. Yes their are better units out there, but for the price, it is hard to beat.
