Hello.

I got I5-2500K unlocked, 4,2ghz. 550W supply. Currently using Gigabyte HD 6850 and 4 GB of RAM. I was wondering, what is currently the best gpu I could buy without a need to replace a new procesor or power supply. Gonna upgrade my RAM to 8 gb as well.

Solution

Absolutely not! Not on that power supply. Not even a GTX 750 Ti is recommended on it.

Upgrade the power supply to a better one, then upgrade to a GTX 780. Your CPU should handle it with minimal bottlenecking.

Oh yeah, I am a complete newbie at english names :< PSU is 550W, not a problem to upgrade it either.

But what brand? The PSU brand makes a difference in the performance and reliability. For example, a low-quality brand, such as Dynex, will not handle near as much load as stated, is inefficient, and could damage the PC components if it blows out. On the other hand, a top-quality unit, such as a SeaSonic S12 550w or XFX TS 550w, have excellent overload protection and can handle loads up to the labeled wattage. Higher-end video cards will run better on high-quality power supply units. Also, how many amps does your power supply have on the 12v rail?

ugh.... that TT tr2 is not the best of power supplies. you have a two 12v rails at 19 amps each for a total of 38 amps. lets at least give the 2500k 12 amps which leaves you 26 amps. i guess theoretically you could run a 780/290, but you only have a single 6 pin power connector and another 6+2 pin connector... my 780 has requires two 6+2(8pin) connectors. also i would not risk putting a $500 gpu on such a mediocre, borderline bad actually, power supply. i would say a gtx760 would be good overall... just replace that power supply.
