Looking to update all of my drivers, but so far only ran in to programs that ask money.
Anyone know any good reliable programs that update your drivers?

I general dont upgrade your drivers unless something is wrong, you may end up causing more problems then fixing anything. If it works dont fix it.

Just get them direct from the manufacturer(s). Anything else either: 1. costs money, or 2. brings a suboptimal result, or 3. both.

Well I mainly am looking for new drivers cause my audio sounds choppy since last week.
And with choppy I mean that it sounds like a ''pop'' each time something loud plays, I am not sure if I haven't noticed this before (it's been 3 years now) or that there is something wrong the drivers, worth a try though.

You may have a blown speaker. Test with another speaker or headset.

There may also be some static buildup. I would turn off the computer and unplug it, then press and hold the power button for several seconds, and then plug it back in.

What are you trying to do with your sound are you just using sound to play audio or are you using it to record audio with also? when your speakers make the noise are you playing cd's or are they recorded sounds or do you have musical instruments plugged into an input in one way or another? Are you using external speakers to monitor audio or headphones?
