Is this a good computer for gaming?

Intel core i5-4670k
Ibuypower 16gb kit ddr3 sdram
2tb 7200 rpm
Nvidia geforce gtx650
24x DVD
Windows 7 pro
With all this it would cost around $955. Is this a good deal or is there better? My budget is around 1000

you can pair an r9 with a i5 no problem but youll be pushing the 1k budget....listen to the other guys for build help. if your building yourself yourself that is...if its retail your getting hosed

If you want you can drop the GPU down to a 280x and keep the price below $1000 though an SSD would also be a good investment too at this price.
