I'm gonna be building my second gaming pc as soon as I make my processor choice. I was wondering how the i3-4360 compares to the FX-6300 and FX-8320 game performance-wise. I couldn't find any benchmarks. To clarify I realize the 8320 will beat the 6300 but I was wondering how they each stack up versus the i3-4360. Also because of current deals the i3 and fx-8320 are roughly the same price.

Not a direct benchmark, but you can get a general idea from this. Keep in mind, that in most titles, an FX 6300 will perform similar to FX 8320, at the same clock speed. Crysis 3 and BF4 are probably the exceptions to this rule. This review might help as well. Ivy is only 5-10% slower than haswell, so the comparison is close enough to make a educated decision.

I would go with an i3 4150 over the 4360, unless you are going to Microcenter. The price difference isn't worth it. The i3 will perform similar or better than the FX 6300/8320 in games that are poorly threaded, like say Skyrim and many MMO's. In better threaded titles, the FX 8320 pulls ahead, and the FX 6300 still is pretty close, without an overclock. Overclocking costs more money, making the AMD solution less of a value. It also gives you an upgrade path to a better CPU. AM3+ is a dead platform.

The 4360 is $135 where I'm gonna be getting it from. Do you by any chance have any links to benchmarks? Also, at what point would the i3 start to be a bottleneck, because I will be getting either an R9 270x, GTX 760, or R9 280/280x depending on prices when I buy.
