Custom Built PC

Solution
Yes I did. A 7850k is cannot even keep up with an FX 4300, clock for clock, much less an i3 4130. In all fairness, it is roughly even, to slightly better, than a Phenom II X4 965. Sorry, but Intel's much stronger per core performance, plus hyperthreading wins out here. The IGP doesn't hold a candle to a 250x, which is essentially an HD 7770. The GPU in a 7850k is only about as fast as an R7 240 ddr3. Crossfire with an APU still doesn't work properly, and in some cases, doesn't work at all.

I would say it is not. Poor quality PSU, the HDD is for laptops, and that GPU and CPU are pretty weak. This would be a far better build for you.

Actually, this a bit better rig than the one you had.

Not really, FM2's chips are slower than an i3 and mine has a dedicated GPU. On the CPU side, Kaveri isn't even as fast as an FX 4300, clock for clock. Without a decent overclock, Kaveri won't touch a Haswell i3. Had my rig had a pentium G, I would have agreed.

You didn't even bother to check out the APU did you? It is a good quad core cpu, with an 8 core gpu. Later down the road, he can add a r7 240 or 250, with 2 gigs of DDR3. The ddr3 in those cards will work in conjuction with the ram, while also adding a dual graphic mode.
