My seagate expansion external hard drive is failing to load on all computers after I ended its processes in task manager. It initially indicates it has been connected then an ejecting sound is heard before the drivers are loaded. it disappears from USB controllers' list and the light then blinks endlessly. Any help to restore functionality to this drive is highly appreciated.

Hi there tawandamufundisi,

So you have you tried the HDD on other computers with different USB cables and the issue persists? If this is the case, the issue should be caused by the external device itself not your system.
Do you need the data that is stored on it? In case you do, you may need to take the drive out of the enclosure and connect it internally. Keep in mind that this will void the warranty if any.
It will also not hurt to contact the manufacturer's Support and see whether they will be able to help out.

Cheers,
