BSOD system_thread_exception_not_handled atikmdag.sys windows 8.1

I keep getting BSOD saying this error.
I believe it is graphics issue.
GPU: R9 290X
I have tried to reinstall all drivers several times over multiple os. win 7 and 8.1.
Have had many BSODS since day 1. i suspect it may be bad drivers. :(

Are you using the CCC? If so, what version? It seems like it's definitely a driver issue. What I would do is go and download the catalyst control center version 14.4 here:

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql.exe

but don't install it yet. Go into control panel > Programs and features and uninstall the CCC and AMD Vision engine if it's there in programs and features. Next, go into the device manager in control panel and find your graphics adapter. Right click on it and select uninstall. Reboot. Reinstall the CCC from your file you downloaded and then reboot again. Try it and see if there are still issues.

i have now reinstalled to windows 7 and it works perfectly. sorry to bother you :(
