Intel i5 4460 getting weird temps.

So, I recently built a PC. (My third) and I've noticed that my 1st core is running a good 9C hotter than my 4th core. I have a i5 4460. I got up to 70C and these temperatures are unusual. I built a computer for my brother and his runs under 60C playing BF4. This is pretty frustrating and I'm having a hard time understanding. I reapplied the thermal paste twice.

Solution
Having 1 core hotter than another is very common. My CPU is the same and the one before was the same also. My current CPU has a core that is 10c hotter than the others. I too was worried at first but upon searching the Internet I found this is a common occurrence and not a problem at all so dont worry about it. Your CPU is running at normal temps :)

I've already applied the thermal paste a couple times and it's always core 0 and no, I did not use an intel tuning program. I'm adding a case fan in to see if it helps at all. Also I've heard blocking the graphics card heat from spilling on to the cpu can work sometimes? The graphics card heats up the computer quite a bit

It's most likely because of his GPU heating up the case. He said that he doesn't have any case fans so the GPU is most likely the culprit.

Why buy case fans...think it's better to buy a cpu cooler for the same money, but if heat from GPU spreads to CPU then buy more case fans and ultimately a bigger case. My 4460 never goes over 57C with stock cooling...case is Thermaltake Armor60
