Hi guys, Im looking into building a pc for the first time. I want it to be able to play games decently, not at ultra or 4k or anything, I just want it to be zippy in everyday tasks and let me play some games. (Minecraft, Starcraft 2). I already have a ps4 for everything else gaming. So, my budget is around 500$ with an OS. Preferably lower than five hundred, but not above. Please help me out, thanks!!!!

I hope your not looking to play much more than Minecraft.

Thanks for the response! And no, I'm not looking at anything more than Minecraft. So do you suggest an apu being the way to go around this price point?

The APU route is more of a dead end in terms of upgradablity but is what would come in at your budget while offering "good" performance. The better long term option (much easier upgrades) would be an Intel Pentium G3258 and a Z97 board.

If you can spare the $50, definitely recommend going this build. It would be easy to swap out the CPU or GPU for a stronger one (preferably in that order) down the line if you wanted too, and gives better performance now.

i will look into the pentium build. I am 15 years old, so my income is a little bit slower then someone with a full time job.. but I can just save up a little longer and not skimp on performance and the ability to upgrade.
