A good IPS monitor?

I have a new computer and I have a good gaming monitor, but I want another monitor for video editing (and a generally better viewing experience, 1 for gaming and 1 for movies). Can someone tell me what I should be looking for in such a monitor for under $250, and/or recommend any?

The filtered link below is set for above 22", IPS, and 5ms or under response time. Start with this list... The LG 27" for $230 looks appealing, but there are plenty of 22"-24" displays for less money.

I personally have an Asus MX239H 23' IPS monitor and it is wonderful! Games look so clear and movies and everything else looks amazing on it, and there is no ghosting either.

Even though there is one dead pixel, it isn't noticeable unless you look for it.

Pre-calibrated 8bit IPS panel (to the Adobe sRGB standard) with design oriented feature, and comes in at your budget. I use one and love the thing.

What size, resolution and quality are you looking for? Generally I would recommand stick with your current gaming monitor unless you really need a better image quality monito. Remember not all ips panel are the same quality.The good ones does cost a bit more.

Dell ultrasharp U2412M 9or 2412H has good reviews and sometimes you can find it around $250 after discount.
