my headphones wont work in front end audio jack

hi i got razer kraken pro headphones and for some reason they wont work in my front end audio jack i got an msi z97-g45 motherboard and realtek audio in the bottom right it says that headphones are plug in and the sound meter thing is moving up and down when i turn on youtube but no sound comes out of the headset. please help

open your case and check that the hd audio plug is connected to the board or not .....

it works in the back yes but i want to plug it into my front end audio port so i can use the mic

install the appropriate realtec audio drivers go to this site and download the drivers http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
