about gtx 770

i am planing to upgrade my graphic card and i thinking about gtx 770 but i dont know much hardware somi what u guys to help me out will my present config ok is ok for gtx 770
my pc specs
2nd gen i7-2600
16 gb ram
asus p8h77-m motherboard
iball 500w marathon peak smps

the 770 would run on a good quality 500w power supply as long as there is a very power efficient cpu along side it, though it would be cutting it close and not much headroom left. 550w would be much better. 600w would be more than fine for an overclocked cpu and overclocked 770. at 650w there is still even more headroom for adding multiple hard drives, fans, 2 or 3 optical drives, water pump etc. also over time the power supply loses some of its output wattage so having a good amount of headroom defeats this loss.
get rid of that power supply, get something from seasonic, xfx, antec, at least 550w but preferably a little higher, but no more than 650w.

otherwise the rest of your system is still a beast... you processor is just as fast as any brand new locked multiplier i7. you can handle any graphics card made, two of them at that, no problem(though you would need a motherboard that actually supports 2 cards).

also you might be able to raise the base clock on your 2600 and squeeze maybe up to 4.0ghz out of it, though im not too familiar with small overclocks on locked processors.

thanks foe advice but dont anything about overclock
