Budget Range: ~$700 (ideally i'd stay around the $700 range but i'm willing to go a little over if the bang/buck is really worth it)

If you don't need Windows, then just remove it and stick a Gigabyte GTX 760 2GB Windforce in there, which is a stronger card than the R7 260X. ;)
You should be able to run Crysis 3 at medium-high @ 50-60 FPS with the R7 260X and at high @ 55-60 FPS with the 760.
All the best. ;)

I'm actually not sure if I need a copy of windows yet (checking if my friend has a spare copy) so its great that you offered an alternative build. Looking at these builds, I noticed that neither included coolers - are they not needed anymore or is it assumed that I can reuse my current one (my current computer is using a fan)?

Also does anyone have opinions on filippi vs LukaBoki's build?

If you don't need Windows, then just remove it from my build and stick a R9 270X or a GTX 760 in there. ;)
You don't need an aftermarket cooler if you don't want to OC.If you really want it,Hyper 212 EVO is my recommendation. ;)
But you can't OC with that CPU anyway. :p
