Hi! Yesterday I was installing some stuff and it happened to put a virus onto my computer. This virus blocks malwarebytes. I've tried booting the computer up in safe mode and malwarebytes still won't run. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for the help!

Malwarebytes doesn't remove viruses, just malware. You need to update your virus pgm and then run a FULL scan. If the virus defeats that operation, you may have to use the recovery disk you made using your virus pgm. You did do that, right?

Nevermind about this, I fixed it. Theres this "malwarebytes cleaner" that you get directed to if you google the error code. I followed the directions of a malwarebytes staff member and I was able to use this second piece of software to revive the main malwarebytes application. Malwarebytes immediately found the virus and vaporized it before it could do anything else. Thank you malwarebytes! I don't know what this virus was actually doing, but for one thing, it definitely did not want to leave my computer for it disabled the thing trying to remove it. Even installing a new copy of malwarebytes would give me error messages. Also, safe mode did not help at all with this virus. Anyways, thanks again malwarebytes!
