I just got a new Direct TV satellite set top box , the Directv Genie Mini box. The tv tuner that I have is: http://www.avermedia-usa.com//AVerTV/Product/ProductDet... AVerTV Hybrid Volar MAX (Windows Starter Kit)
H826SK

The Avermedia USB tuner device only has a coax connector.
The DirectTV Genie Mini has an HDMI out and also an S-Video Out, as options. There is a USB port on the back of the Genie also, but not sure what that is for really.
I have HBO as premium channel.

Before the new Genie Mini set top box, I was able to use the usb tv tuner device to watch the channels, but now I' can't physically connect the tv tuner to the Genie Mini box.
Should I purchase another TV Tuner device, or what can I do? I looked on Newegg briefly but didn't see any.

I have a Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit with Update 1 and '2' applied.
I7-4770
MSI Z87 G45
16 gb of Kingston Genesis 1600 ram.

I got some sort of RF modulator and it works now.

However, since the output from the Satelite settop box is outputting through S-video throughred/yellow/white cables to connect to the modulator and then to the USB tv tuner card, the picture only comes out looking like standard definition tv and not anywhere near 1080i.

Are there any tv tuner cards that support HDMI input????

added rf modulator device between the devices but only standard tv definition because of the co-ax.
